Position Summary




VantagePoint Alliance is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic procurement and supply chain initiatives supporting the construction, commissioning, and operation of a first-of-its-kind sustainable fuels manufacturing facility.

This position will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and ensuring the timely delivery of critical equipment, materials, and services required for major capital projects. The ideal candidate brings significant experience supporting EPC projects within the chemical processing, refining, energy, industrial manufacturing, or process industries.

This is an excellent opportunity to help build one of the most innovative clean energy manufacturing facilities in North America while working with engineering, construction, manufacturing, and executive leadership teams.




Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies supporting engineering, construction, commissioning, and plant operations.
  • Lead competitive sourcing activities including RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, bid tabulations, and contract negotiations.
  • Establish strategic supplier partnerships for long-lead equipment, fabricated systems, and critical materials.
  • Manage procurement activities for:
    • Mechanical equipment
    • Electrical equipment
    • Instrumentation & Controls
    • Process equipment
    • Fabricated systems
    • Construction services
    • Maintenance materials
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Construction, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, and Project Management teams.
  • Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, warranties, delivery schedules, payment terms, and service agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality, schedule adherence, and risk.
  • Resolve supplier issues involving delivery delays, quality concerns, and commercial disputes.
  • Develop procurement metrics and reporting to improve cost, schedule, and supplier performance.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier optimization.
  • Support inventory planning and supply continuity for plant startup and ongoing operations.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.




Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in:
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Business
    • Engineering
    • Operations
    • Related discipline
  • 8+ years of procurement or supply chain experience supporting industrial or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience purchasing capital equipment for large industrial projects.
  • Strong background negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Experience managing RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract awards.
  • Demonstrated success building strategic supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
