Overview VPA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) to support engineering, design, and construction activities across major industrial and power-sector projects. This role provides technical leadership, QA/QC oversight, field support, and stamped deliverables for electrical systems. Responsibilities
Lead electrical engineering for medium- and high-voltage systems (up to 345kV).
Provide system studies: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, relay coordination.
Review and stamp engineering packages, drawings, and specifications.
Oversee power distribution, switchgear, substations, and plant electrical systems.
Support EPC teams through design, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
Resolve complex technical issues and mentor junior engineers/designers.
Conduct site walkdowns, electrical inspections, and redlines for as-builts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
10+ years of electrical engineering in power/industrial facilities.
Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, NESC, and utility standards.
Experience with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
Preferred
Power plant, CHP, combined cycle, or Data Center background.
