Overview VPA is seeking Mechanical PEs to support major capital projects involving rotating equipment, pressure vessels, piping, HVAC, and plant mechanical systems. Responsibilities
Provide engineering and stamped calculations for piping systems, supports, pressure boundaries, and rotating equipment.
Develop mechanical design specifications, datasheets, and engineering deliverables.
Perform stress analysis, fluid flow calculations, and thermal evaluations.
Oversee equipment installation plans, QA/QC, and vendor submittal reviews.
Conduct field walkdowns to verify installation and resolve issues.
Support commissioning and start-up.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
PE license required.
8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial/power settings.
Proficiency in CAESAR II or similar stress-analysis software.
Preferred
Gas turbines, steam turbines, CHP, or industrial facility experience.
